CEPI lab kicks off a new project of process development for the production of acetic acid (AA) from natural gas. BP (British Petroleum) has been a major player to produce acetic acid and developed a number of processes so far. The objective of the research is to develop catalyst and process to produce AA from natural gas efficiently with lower cost. The catalyst will be developed from the laboratory of Professor Jong Wook Bae from SKKU (Sung Kyun Kwan University) and CEPI will be in charge of developing a new process.
